New process for an old-school buyer

We’ll be honest… there’s way too many tire kickers on Facebook Marketplace. At first, we expected to have a great experience selling a car through Facebook Marketplace because Caruso Classics leads with a purpose to help bring legitimacy to the classic car market. Sadly, we experienced so many “Is this available?” and too many ghosts. But, a good salesman learns from the experience.

When there wasn’t any action on the listing, we knew we had to adjust the price (which automatically updates everyone that saved the listing) and slowly, from the high prices, we went down in price and found a buyer. Every step of the process was communicated clearly, and I walked with the customer into seeing the car and him deciding for himself to purchase the car. Here’s what he said, “When it came time for delivery, he handled the shipping seamlessly…my ’64 Ford Falcon rolled right up to my door without a single issue.”

The best part of this as a salesperson? The car was exactly as described. No surprises, no letdowns…just an honest, smooth, and stress-free experience. It was the kind of deal that makes you realize buying classics online requires quality media, clarifying information, and determination.
